This is your sign to make your own hummus! And yes, it really only takes 10 minutes. I stopped buying store bought hummus awhile ago and love that I can make my own customized to my favourite flavours. This version is super creamy, garlicky (we love a lot of garlic around here) and made with a few pantry staples. Hope you love it as much as I do! 💕
You’ll need:
- 1 can chickpeas (rinsed)
- 1/4 cup tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Garlic (I used three cloves – this one is pretty garlicky!)
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- Olive oil
- Salt
- 1-2 ice cubes (throw in at the end and it makes your hummus so creamy)
- Turkish biber
- Fresh parsley
- To a blender, add chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves, lemon juice, cumin and olive oil.
- Blend well. Near the end toss in ice cubes and some salt for flavour. Blend until creamy.
- Plate your hummus and drizzle some olive oil, sprinkle on some Turkish biber and fresh parsley.
- Eat with veggies or crackers and enjoy!
