If you’re hosting this December, you need this onion dip🍾 easy, make-ahead and always the first to go! Ditch the store bought dip and I promise your guests will love it!
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 1 block of cream cheese, softened at room temperature
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Spices – cayenne, paprika, onion powder, salt & pepper
- Butter
- Olive oil
- Heat a pan with butter and olive oil. Once melted and sizzling, add diced onions and spice mixture. Stirring to combine.
- Sauté for about 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
- In a bowl, add mayonnaise, sour cream and cream cheese. Stir until combined. (You want to get rid of the cream cheese clumps).
- Add the onions to the bowl (while they are still hot) and mix well.
- Put in the fridge to cool and top with chives for serving.
This dip goes great with salted kettle chips or veggies!
